Located on the Strand on Williamstown, and overlooking the bay area, this boat house-converted restaurant is not your typical walk-in restaurant. This restaurant specially caters for functions such as birthdays, weddings, christening and corporate functions. It is not uncommon for shouts of Hip Hip Hooray can be heard throughout the night!

The waterfront views look towards the Melbourne CBD, and are particularly picturesque and stunning at night.  In fact if you have never been to Williamstown at night you really must as the views of Melbourne are unique to the Western suburbs and are definitely under-appreciated.

As a seaside restaurant, The Anchorage certainly looks the part with its impressive ceiling and nautical interior theme. The menu is overflowing with seafood, and is arguably the best in Melbourne. Staked beautifully on the plate, the king prawns sit proudly upon a tower of grapefruit, cucumber, and is dressed in a marie rose sauce.


Hervey Bay Scallops

This is an incredible scallop dish, with a lovely balance of flavours from the cauliflower puree, braised beef, and crispy shallots.



This fish is cooked to perfection, and is served with eggplant puree, rainbow chard, and cashew cream. Many happy diners gave this fantastic dish their nod of approval.
